Randall Spierer, CPA
Background
Randall joined BlueBird in 2015 as a Staff Auditor. His areas of expertise include internal audits, Title 31 compliance audits, and 401(k) audits. His experience includes the supervision of multiple Tribal, gaming, and employee benefit plan audits. He has also supervised and performed internal audits and Title 31 compliance audits.
After moving from California to Reno, Randall’s work with the Robby Schlesinger Foundation gave him first-hand experience in perseverance, dedication to a cause, collaboration, and the power of a group to affect change.

Interesting Fact
He previously served as the CFO of the Robby Schlesinger Foundation, a charity raising money for suicide prevention and grief support. Randall is an amateur baker (he makes a mean crème brûlée), an aspiring mixologist, enjoys metalcore rock music, and considers himself a foodie. He finds it hard to pass up any food challenges posted by restaurants.

Peng Gao
Background
Peng started at the firm in early 2015 after he graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a Master of Accountancy. He is currently studying for his CPA exams.

Interesting Fact
Peng speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese and is a fan of soccer. His favorite teams are Manchester United and Real Madrid; whenever they play in the United States Peng will fly or drive to the game and is there cheering them on.

Background
Jim first worked for the firm in 2020 and returned in 2023. He has previous experience in the accounting industry with firms in the Reno area.

Wendy Zhang
Background: Wendy joined BlueBird, CPAs in early 2025 after graduating with a Master of Professional Accountancy degree from the University of California, Riverside in December 2024. While pursuing her education, she developed a love for auditing that inspired her to build a career in the field. She embraces teamwork and strives to become a strong team player in the firm.

Interesting Fact: Wendy is particularly fond of aerial yoga, in which she holds a certification. Outside of work, you can often find Wendy on the yoga mat, which helps her relax and recharge.

Background: Hazel joined the BlueBird, CPAs team in July of 2024 after graduating with a Master of Accounting degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in May of 2024.

Lusong Li, CPA
Background: Lusong joined the firm in May 2025 after acquiring his CPA license in California. Before joining BlueBird, CPAs, he worked as a tax accountant for two years in a Bay Area firm. He found filing tax returns tedious and decided to shift his career path to auditing.

Sabrina Nuttall-Victors
Background
Sabrina joined the firm in mid-2021 after her experience in retail management made her realize she desired to work in an office environment again. As the Office Manager, Sabrina will be coordinating travel plans and managing administrative tasks around the office.

Interesting Fact
Sabrina enjoys embarking on new adventures including skydiving, attending concerts, rock climbing, snowboarding, and traveling whenever possible. Most of all she loves spending quality time with her boyfriend, family, friends and fur baby named Luna. From time to time, she also happens to serve as a marriage officiant for friends and family.
Firm Administrator
Shelby Hannigan
Background: Shelby joined the firm as a part-time Receptionist in January 2024 while finishing her degree at the University of Nevada, Reno. As Receptionist, she handled typical duties such as answering phones and sending mail, as well as taking on greater responsibilities to support the Office Manager/Travel Coordinator. In June 2025 she was promoted into the position of Firm Administrator, in-charge of proofreading and formatting reports, proposals, and other forms of correspondence. Shelby also manages all of the marketing duties for the firm and works closely with Sabrina to oversee various administrative and human resource aspects of the office. She enjoys being referred to as the “Swiss army knife” of the office, always eager to learn something new and help out where she can.

Interesting Fact: Shelby is an avid fan of all forms of crafting, but especially enjoys crochet. Whenever she has a spare moment you will often find her tackling a new crochet project and donating the finished items to her coworkers and coffee shop baristas.
