The National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) is proposing amendments to the Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) for Class II Gaming. These amendments will correct an erroneous deletion of key control standards in drop and count and will include other minor edits and additions for clarity. The proposed revisions are largely technical in nature and are meant to correct earlier editing oversights and to better clarify the intent of the provisions. The regulations in Part 543 require Tribes to establish controls and implement procedures at least as stringent as those described in the part to maintain the integrity of the gaming operation.
