May 21, 2015 – Gov. Sandoval signs bill allowing slot machines with skill factor
Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval signed Senate Bill 9 in late May, which promotes the technological advancement of casino equipment. The bill allows state gaming regulators to adopt rules that will incorporate skill into slot machines. These new skill based games could allow a gambler to increase the 88% payback up to 98% during bonus rounds. Manufacturers and legislatures hope these new gaming concepts will expand the customer base of casinos to include younger, more tech-savvy customers.
